Dr Hing is a paediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus specialist who grew up in the St George area and has practised locally for many years. He graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his ophthalmic training in Auckland and Sydney and subspecialty training in paediatric ophthalmology at Great Ormond St Hospital, London. He is experienced in all areas of paediatric ophthalmology, and adult strabismus surgery. Until recently he was Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital, Westmead. He has just completed a sabbatical at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, USA. He teaches trainees in paediatric and strabismus eye care in Australia, Vietnam, China and Cambodia and is a member of the Paediatric Special Interest Group of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is widely published and is a sought after speaker.
